Why 'Bramble & Sage'?
Jane grew up at Home Farm in Sutton Montis, on the Somerset-Dorset border, where at age five she bottle fed two lambs, these she named Bramble and Sage.
When Jane met Graham...
Jane went on to meet fellow tennis official, Graham in 1993, at Wimbledon where she umpired five singles' finals before retiring in 2002. Graham was also born and raised on a Somerset dairy farm in Chilthorne Domer - his father and brother still manage the farm - only 10 miles away from where Jane grew up.
The beginnings of Bramble & Sage - Deli on the Farm...
Graham and Jane married in 1995 and continued their respective careers in tennis umpiring – with their hearts never far from Somerset. Fuelled by their enthusiasm for, and knowledge of honest, local food, and their backgrounds in farming, Jane and Graham launched Bramble & Sage at Home Farm in July 2007

My family farm is now in its third generation, and Jane's in its fourth, and with our combined understanding of farming and local food we are very excited about Bramble & Sage – 'Deli on the Farm'. We hope the shop honours the tradition of farming and the communities that support our industry, but also has a modern approach." Graham Harvey
Home Farm is overshadowed by the hill fort of Cadbury Castle at the edge of the Somerset Levels, where walkers come from miles to take in the stunning views.
Whilst maintaining a rustic theme in the Deli, Graham and Jane have also created a fresh, contemporary feel. Bramble & Sage centres around sourcing the very best local, organic, artisan and fresh produce from Somerset and Dorset.
